About BU on Board:

BU on Board is an experiential learning program grounded in an ethic of service and run by the Social Impact and Nonprofit Management Club at Boston University Questrom School of Business.

The program’s objective comes from Questrom’s main principle of creating more value for the world and creates reciprocal learning between MBA candidates and partner organizations in the Greater Boston Area. The program connects nonprofits with an MBA student to have as a non-voting, passive member of their board while the student is in their 2nd academic year. This offers non-profits an opportunity to bring a fresh perspective to their board, while also fostering the next generation of board members, nonprofit leaders, and socially-minded business professionals. At the same time, the program allows MBA students to learn about organizational governance and board service. Together, this partnership will help grow the network of nonprofit leaders in the Greater Boston area. Starting in 2023, BU on Board is partnering with Link Day (link in the website) to enhance both the non profits and students experience. Students who are interested in participating will now have the opportunity to continue on after Link Day if the non-profit partner organization is in agreement.
