Questrom Graduate Council
The goal of the Questrom Graduate Council is to maximize the BU experience for each graduate student. Student run, the Council strives to develop the global unity and diversity among Questrom graduate students, administration, and alumni, and further enhance the perception of the BU Master’s Degree from both an academic and a corporate perspective. The Council represents the students and works as a liaison between the student body, the University, and the community. The Council is elected each year by the students and is the governing body of the Questrom graduate student organizations.

The Asia Business Club aims to provide networking opportunities for our members so that they may exchange information, share experiences, and discover new opportunities through their new contacts. The Blockchain and Virtual World Club aims to cultivate a vibrant community of students enthusiastic about Blockchain, VR, and AR technologies. Cohort Cup is a club that provides social and competitive events for all students in the FTMBA and PEMBA programs, including sports tournaments, cohort outings, and the annual talent show. Graduate Students of the African Diaspora
Questrom Graduate Students of the African Diaspora (GSAD) is an all-inclusive group open to all Questrom graduate students. The mission of the club is to bring representation to Questrom graduate students of the African Diaspora and to host events that stimulate Questrom-wide discussions related to this population in the US and around the world while having fun. GSAD helps promote recruitment efforts of students of the African Diaspora and helps bring a more diverse student population to Questrom, adding to the global and cultural education of every Questrom graduate student. The club promotes awareness of cultural diversity, with the goal to give more voice to this underrepresented group. The club also encourages the participation of those who may not be of African descent, but have an interest in, and want to gain an understanding of, the African Diaspora.

Our mission is to harness the power of finance and investment to create positive and sustainable change in the world. We are committed to supporting students pursuing careers in impact investing, a form of investing that not only seeks financial returns but also prioritizes environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. Our club aims to be a catalyst for meaningful and lasting impact, driven by our collective belief in the potential of capital markets to drive positive change in our community. The Impact Investing Club will ensure that Questrom students interested in the field will be aware of each opportunity through a newsletter and through club events like professional panels based around ESG & Impact Investing. The club provides a network where teams can be formed and where support for competitions outside of Questrom can be found. Finally, the club main purpose is to help individuals learn about career paths and find jobs in impact investing and ESG investing.

Since 2012, the Internship Fund for Social Impact has aimed to empower students across the MBA program to create lasting social impact by funding career-accelerating, purpose-driven internships. The Latin American MBA Association (LAMBA) seeks to foster a space for open dialogue for all individuals interested in the emerging markets of Latin America, as well as the increasingly important Hispanic marketplaces and issues regarding Latin America in the United States. LAMBA seeks to share our cultural heritage and embrace our diversity as a business advantage and enable the creation of a network of graduate students and US and Latin American businesspeople for the purpose of sharing knowledge and building long-term relationships.

The mission of the Leadership and Organizational Transformation (LOT) Club is to increase the sense of community for all MBA students enrolled in and interested in Leadership and Organizational Transformation, as well as Organizational Behavior more generally. In the same way a modern-day HR Department focuses on enhancing the community around the company’s biggest asset (its people), LOT will focus on diversity and inclusion, personal leadership, and organizational development initiatives to enhance the community around one of the University’s biggest assets – its students.

The Questrom Veterans Club is aimed at creating support and comradery for Questrom student-veterans. Military service is an uncommon experience that is best understood by those who have worn a uniform. It is important for veterans to remain connected to other veterans, not only as part of their transition to civilian life or student life, but also to maintain a sense of belonging to a group that can best understand their experiences. Through networking events, volunteer work and awareness raising events, the club will help our student-veterans connect with the greater veteran community of Boston and enhance their time at as a student at Questrom.

The Women’s MBA Association provides career guidance and support to women currently in Questrom’s graduate programs through: Providing access to professional women leaders in different industries, possess a wide range of interests and have built successful careers; educating members about career management, career advancement, and networking; finding mentors and leadership opportunities within and around the Questrom School of Business and Boston University; active participation within the community; establishing a solid relationship among students, alumni, faculty and women in the greater Boston area, including MBA students from neighboring schools; uniting men and women in addressing issues surrounding women’s advancement in the workplace.
