Subject: Grad Club Leader Update #2 -- Last Chance to Schedule Training, Fall Updates, and more!

Hello 2026-2027 Graduate Club Leaders,

I hope you had a fun and safe holiday weekend! As we get closer to the start of the fall semester, I wanted to share another round of updates to help you prepare for the year ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has already shared their availability to schedule the Club Leader Training and confirmed access to the Club Leadership group in Questrom Common. If you haven't done so yet, please take a few minutes to complete those items.

As always, if you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm excited to work with you and help make this another successful year for Questrom's graduate student community.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, and keep an eye on your inbox for Summer Update #3!

Joe Grande
Associate Director of Community Engagement

We'll be holding a mandatory training to review updates, policies, and resources for the year ahead. Presidents and VPs of Finance from each club are required to attend the training to receive funding and participate in the Graduate Club Fair. Additional officers and advisors are encouraged to attend, once scheduled.

👉Please complete this poll to share your availability by Wednesday, July 8 at 9am.

All registered club leaders should now have access to the Club Leadership group in Questrom Common. This is where you'll find important announcements, resources, the Club Leadership Handbook, and training materials. Please log in and confirm your access.

The Club Leadership Handbook is your go-to resource for everything you need to know about leading a club at Questrom. It includes guidance on budgeting, event planning, approvals, marketing, policies, and more. You can find the link to the handbook on the Club Leadership page of Questrom Common or by clicking here.

Now is the time to engage with your faculty/staff advisor, who will support you throughout the year. Talk with them about upcoming events, goals, and overall strategy for success. We are in the process of contacting the advisor listed on your re-registration to confirm their participation. If you do not know who your advisor is, please contact mbacenter@bu.edu

All club events, on or off campus, require a minimum of 4 week lead time for approval, especially those involving alumni, speakers, purchases, catering, and/or tickets. Start thinking now about what events you'd like to host this fall. Early planning gives you the best chance of securing your preferred dates, spaces, and support. More info will be shared about this at the Club Leader Training.

Later this summer, you can expect to learn more about QGC provided funding for your club, additional budget requests, registration for the annual grad club fair, and more. Be sure to monitor your email throughout the summer.

And, join us on Wednesday, July 15 for our annual MBA Summer Networking Night. This event is open to all FTMBA, PTMBA, and MBA Alumni and faculty! We will also be welcoming out admitted MBA students which makes it a perfect opportunity to begin recruitment for your clubs.
