Social Impact Newsletter 9/11/2023

David Stolow - Tuesday, September 19, 2023
 Events

September 11, 2023

Good morning everyone! Today's Student Spotlight is Aishwaryya Roy, who also goes by June.

June is a second year Social Impact FTMBA and Management Sciences student. Before coming to Boston for the MBA, she lived in Mumbai, India, handling business development for a startup. Prior to that, she had experience in Human Resources and was an Advertisement Production Manager at Time Magazine. In her free time, she volunteered for a nonprofit organization in Bangalore teaching at-risk youth.

Over the summer, June was a Business Development Intern at a Non-profit called SoundingLab. There, she managed SoundingLab's growth and sustainability efforts while developing brand and marketing strategies to support informed decision making. This helped expand the organization’s reach as they move towards independence from their fiscal sponsors.

At Questrom, she is very involved in graduate student organizations: she is VP of Marketing and Communications for the Consulting Club, VP of External and Alumni Relations for the Strategy Club, and Co-VP of DE&I for the Women's MBA Association. June often participates in consulting events and was a student consultant last February for Link Day, the pro-bono consulting event for nonprofits held at Questrom.

In her free time, June loves travelling and trying out different restaurants & cuisines around town. Last year, she organized a trip to Maine with some classmates from Questrom to see the beautiful fall foliage at Acadia National Park and trek the Beehive Loop – it's an intimidating hike!

Pictured above is June and her adorable St. Bernard, Maximus Roy.
