To our newest Social Impact MBA students:  WELCOME!  Welcome to Boston.  Welcome to BU.  Welcome to the Social Impact MBA program.  We are delighted that you are joining the Social Impact community and we look forward to sharing your MBA journey.

The program you are joining has a proud history and a bright future.  Generations of students who preceded you have instilled values of leadership, learning, service, and friendship.  YOU will have the chance to make your imprint on our school and to guide the path we will take in preparing leaders who combine rigorous business skills with a fundamental commitment to social and environmental issues.  This is YOUR program and we expect that you will claim your place as leaders of it, as well as leaders in our school and our society.

As Co-Faculty Directors, we are deeply invested in your success.  We are eager to learn more about your experiences and aspirations, and to support you as you blend coursework, extracurricular activities, and career development.  In the coming days we will join you during your LAUNCH activities.  Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions, ideas, and topics you’d like to explore.  We look forward to learning with you.

A Message from the Social Impact and Nonprofit Club (SINC) Co-Presidents

Welcome to the Social Impact MBA program! We are the co-presidents of the SINC board this academic year. SINC looks forward to hosting a variety of professional & social events and engaging the Social Impact community. SINC elections for first year reps will occur at the beginner of the upcoming semester and we would love to speak with both new and returning SI students about their ideas for SINC. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to get a cup of coffee!

Meet the editor!

Hello everyone! My name is Kristine Vu and I am a second year FTMBA in the Social Impact program. I am from California and love talking about plants and my two rabbits, Chad & Cece. The newsletter will be sent to all Social Impact MBA students each week during the school year, usually on Monday.  It’s a great place to share information about Social Impact related events and opportunities at Questrom and beyond. If there is something that you think could be included in the newsletter, reach out to me at kbvu@bu.edu . I am excited to meet all the new faces and to see everyone after the long summer!
