Reaching Out MBA Conference 2021 Info

Hi Cohort Q!

We're delighted to share that this year’s ROMBA Conference will take place in a hybrid format - both in-person in Austin, TX, and via a virtual platform.

The in-person portion of the conference will run October 7-9 at the Hilton Austin. In addition, pre-conference and select sessions from the in-person event will be live-streamed on the virtual platform (which is Pathable, the same platform used for ROMBA 2020).

The Career Expo will run virtually this year on Friday, October 1. However, there will also be physical space for corporate partners to conduct onsite interviews during the in-person conference.

To keep the entire community safe and socially distanced, ROMBA has capped in-person attendance at this year’s conference to 900 people. In-person attendance will be limited to MBAs who are in their program as of October 2021, session speakers, session directors, and a limited number of corporate partners.

ROMBA is inviting pre-MBAs, post-MBAs, Business School representatives, peer organizations, and those students and corporate partners who do not secure an in-person ticket to participate in the conference virtually.

Registration will open on Wednesday, June 30 at 12:00 pm ET and current MBA tickets for the in-person event will be ‘first come first serve’.

Session Director applications are now open. If you are a current MBA, consider applying to direct a ROMBA 2021 session. See what’s involved and the benefits of directing a ROMBA session.

More info about the conference can be found on ROMBA's FAQ page, which will be updated regularly over the coming months. The conference agenda will be published tomorrow, June 30.

If you have any questions about ROMBA, funding available through Questrom, or the conference, please feel free to reach out to Brent Parrish (brentp@bu.edu), previous attendees, or ROMBA's staff.

Hope to see many of you there this year!
